We provide high quality environmentally friendly camping holidays in comfortable 16ft fully furnished canvas yurts on the beautiful Isle of Wight.
Each yurt sleeps up to 5 people containing a double bed(including one with a four poster), a double futon or day bed and a single camp bed if required.
We are proud to have won both the Green Business Award and the Accommodation and Hospitality Award in the IOW Chamber of Commerce Business Awards for Excellence in 2009.
Our site forms part of the award-winning Afton Park Apple Orchard (as featured in the August 2007 issue of Country Living Magazine).
Our yurt holidays are camping holidays with a difference and are very family friendly. The yurts have real beds, woodburning stoves, solid floors and furniture and we make our yurt holidays really green holidays.
Our yurt holidays are ethical and sustainable holidays, as we make everything as environmentally friendly as possible without compromising on comfort. You will still have the 'open air' feel of being under canvas with many of the comforts you would have in a caravan or small holiday cottage.
To help you with responsible travel we can arrange transport from and to the Isle of Wight ferry and cycle hire or bus rover tickets during your stay so that you can leave the car at home. There are miles of glorious footpaths for walking holidays and cycling holidays can be arranged for individuals, families and groups.
We can arrange for your order of the best fresh, organic, locally produced food to be ready for your arrival and we recycle as much as possible, ensuring that your yurt holiday is a sustainable holiday that will make the lowest possible impact on our planet.
We can provide all the bedding, towels and equipment you need for your eco holiday so that you may begin to relax as soon as you arrive.
We have 5 beautiful yurts available on either a self catering or bed and breakfast basis. The Apple Orchard is a level, leafy, attractive site with a farm shop and cafe serving delicious home cooked food, in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of West Wight. We are less than 10 minutes walk from the beach at Freshwater Bay and the beautiful River Yar is a short level walk away.
If you want to come for the Isle of Wight Festival or an event such as Cowes Week, the IOW Walking Festival or Bestival, or just to escape and enjoy our unique green yurt holidays, we can tailor a package to suit your needs.
